BODÖ

In the summer of 2016 we opened Bodö Guest Harbour and BistroCafé in the old coast guard station. Over the years we have been adding additional service and renovating the harbour. Since then we have been elected the Guest Harbour of the year in both 2019 and 2020.

HISTORY

Bodö's green main building was built 1967 and it served as the coast guard station until 1991. A memorial and landmark of it is the tower, which is still in use by the Coast Guard. The tower is closed to the public.

The building was empty almost 25 years before we took over. The renovation started in 2016 and the harbour area had been overtaken by the forest and most of the buildings needed to be heavily renovated.

MAJOR RENOVATION WORKS WERE COMPLETED IN 2020

In the summer of 2020 we added more berths, pier electricity for 28 boats, along with a service building, and a ferry connection for M/S Falkö. We now have in the service building a harbour office, extra customer seats on a covered terrace, an additional sauna as well as a small shop for essential supplies.

Our services are a pier, licensed BistroCafé with outdoor terraces, activities for children, walking routes to explore the island, two communal sauna and one bookable floating sauna, indoor area for guest use in the main building. We have four double guest rooms in the old coast guard station. As a Roope Harbour, we offer a dishwashing area and biowaste bins and we strive to keep the archipelago as healthy and clean as possible.
